What is the Expert Advisor?

Expert Advisor (EA) is a Mechanical Trading System (MTS). It acts as a personal alert system, notifying you of profitable trade opportunities, and disseminating trades according to your unique trading specifications.

Can I use the Expert Advisor to test investment strategies?

Just as other Mechanical Trading Systems allow you to forward test investment strategies, the Expert Advisor automatically documents historical data, maintaining a record of when and where trades open and close.

Is the AlterHedge program designed for experienced Forex Traders, only?

Absolutely not, AlterHedge Expert Advisor is for the serious trader but we strongly recommend to Educate and sharp your trading skills. Can I program the Expert Advisor to enter my trades?

Yes, you can set the Mechanical Trade System to alert you of potential trade opportunities, as well as initiate trades according to your investment strategy.

Is the EA set up so that I have to run it 24-hours a day on my computer?

You can set up the EA according to your own preferences.  The AlterHedge Expert Advisor has start and end time configurations. So, you can program your AM and PM settings according to the Foreign Exchange time zones you’re trading in.

May I use two or more accounts to run the AlterHedge EAs?

You can run the AlterHedge EA on one account. It comes compiled for your Broker and Forex trading account only. After you purchase your Expert Advisor, you have unlimited access to create as many demo accounts for you to test your strategy.

Does the demo platform include any instructions or Forex trading resources?

Yes, AlterHedge is a turnkey solution that includes Forex trading educational tools. Please see our Forex Messenger Service if you want to trade manually.

Is there a guarantee that I will profit with the AlterHedge EA?

It is illegal for us to make any monetary guarantees, We advise you to educate yourself as a Forex trader and use our tools to assist you trading. No Mechanical Trading System has a trader’s conscience.

Aside from USD/JPY, does AlterHedge work with any other pairs?

Yes, AlterHedge is designed to work with any pair; however, we recommend forward testing the Expert Advisor in EURUSD, AUDCAD and USDJPY to determine if it suits your trading style. Please review the instructions detailed in the User Guide.

What is your refund policy?

Given the nature of the Forex market, we do not have a refund policy in place. We ask that our customers review the Risk Disclosure

Can I set up a stop-loss (SL) with my AlterHedge EA account?

Yes, your EA settings have a stop-loss (SL) configuration. However, given the fluctuations in the market, the EA cannot guarantee that all stop-losses are immediately administered.

If I shut down my computer or MetaTrader, does the Expert Advisor continue to work?

No, if the Metatrader is shut off or if you close out your computer, it will shut down. The EA does not function if your Internet connection is inoperable.

How soon can I start trading after I sign up for an AlterHedge EA account?

The process takes less than a 24-hours, we highly recommend that you use the demo before investing your money.

Will I receive a conformation after I sign up for an Alter Hedge EA account?

Once your payment has been confirmed, you will receive an email notification of your real accounts from Forex.com.

What should I do, if I am unable to access the ticket form?

In order to access the ticket form, be sure to register as a user first. If  you did register and are unable to access the ticket form, please email us at cs@alterhedge.com.

Who do I contact, if I need assistance?

If you need assistance, you must be a registered member to access our support services. Please complete our Support Form, and we’ll respond as soon has humanly possible.
